Over the past few years, several engine manufacturers have been squeezing more displacement and power into small engine cases. This offers pilots improved power-to-weight ratios. Saito has been one of the leaders of this trend, releasing several new engines with more punch, but without the usual increase in size and weight. The new FA-82a offers 20% more power than .72-size engines and shares the same size case as the Saito .72.
